Meet Dr. Itasca Waiters, Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Itasca L. Waiters, DC, has been practicing chiropractic care for more than 15 years, and Waiters Chiropractic is proud to now call Richton Park home.
Dr. Waiters earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clark Atlanta University before pursuing her passion for chiropractic care at Life University's Chiropractic School in Marietta, GA. Throughout her academic journey, she built a strong foundation in the science and principles of chiropractic medicine — a foundation she's continued to build on through more than 15 years of hands-on practice, including specialized proficiency in chiropractic adjustments under anesthesia for complex cases.
Dr. Waiters brings a deeply personal understanding to every patient she treats: after being in an accident, she sought chiropractic care for back pain — and discovered it also relieved leg pain she'd been living with for years without realizing chiropractic care could help. That experience is what led her to the profession, and it still shapes how she treats every patient today.
Dr. Waiters specializes in personal injury, sports injuries, back pain, headaches, and sciatica. As a Reiki Master, she also treats patients with acupuncture, Reiki, and cupping — offering a well-rounded, whole-body approach to care. Patients know her for a warm, friendly, and often funny bedside manner that puts them at ease from the first visit.
A Chicago Heights native and Bloom High School graduate — former cheerleader and active in numerous school activities — Dr. Waiters has stayed rooted in giving back to the community she grew up in, volunteering with organizations like PADS and Habitat for Humanity. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying involved in local volunteer work.
